General Information:

Release Date: October 23, 2007
Developers: MercurySteam
Publishers: Codemasters
Platforms:Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Microsoft Windows
Genre: Survival Horror/First-person shooter
Players: Single Player

Synopsis:

When a lost city mysteriously re-appears in a remote desert of the middle east, the department of occult warfare sends in a jericho team - a special forces unit trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts. Their Mission: To hunt down and destroy the evil at the heart of the city.

Campaign Rating: 3

Gameplay:

Clive Barker's Jericho's general gameplay consists of a team of Jerichos, a seven person squad who try to complete their missions, while trying to survive. The team come across various enemies, some distorted creations, ghouls, and even cultists.

This game relies heavily on using your team to your advantage. Each person has a special ability, allowing them to excel at certain problems along your missions. You are able to switch squadmates around, so you can play whoever you want; this is best used when an ability is needed.

Along the way, you'll run into some "Survival Events". You will have to press the corresponding button or keys shown on the screen in order to successfully survive.

Gameplay Rating: 5

Graphics:

Clive Barker's jericho lacks overall graphic appeal. There are many animation problems, and bugs that are known. Running, Shooting your gun, and monster spells have very poor animations; they seem as if they're lagging. You are able to fix the animation lag on PCs by turning down the resolution, however PS3s and Xbox 360s will always have this problem.

Overall Comments:

Overall Clive Barker's Jericho is not a very good game. It lacks Graphic appeal, Campaign appeal, and there are many known bugs. I would not recommend this game to anyone; unless you are on a budget and are looking for a new game.

Overall Rating: 4

4 is a little low imo. You can't rate a 2007 game and compare it with 2011 standards. That's just silly.

It doesn't lack campaign appeal imo, it's a pretty interesting and original idea behind it.
May not be the best game in the world, but not the worst.

I'd give it around a 6-6.5. That's just me. Good review regardless.
