If you are getting this error, then what is happening is that redsn0w cannot find your Firmware.

To fix this:
1. Go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
2. Scroll Down to "iPhone / iPod touch / iPad / Apple TV"
3. Go all the way down the cascading menu intil you see 5.0.1 Firmware (they only have it for 3G or 4G iTouches, and you must select which tye you have"

4. Download it (It is around 770 MB, so be patient)
5. Once downloaded, open redsnow and select extras
6. Hit the "Select IPSW" button.
7. It will load and and check the firmware to check for bugs, then it show the menu that will have "Install Cydia" checked........
8. GO AHEAD AND HIT NEXT
9. it will then give you the instructions to put the device into recovery mode
10. Once in recovery mode, the device will upload 2 stages, then will boot (IT WILL START JAILBREAK PROCESS SO LEAVE THE DEVICE THE HECK ALONE, and do NOT tinker with it)
11. If it stays on a black screen, just wait, it is getting the device ready to jailbreak
12. after it moves the apps onto the custom firmware, the device will reboot once again.
13. Go and check to see if Cydia is there. You have now jailbroken the device and fixed the "Waiting for boot error"















Make sure to get Installous 4 and appsync 5+ from cydia

TO DO THIS
-Open cydia
-go to "manage"
-hit "edit" (top right)
- hit add source / add (top left)
- enter [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (the http:// will already be entered)
- install appsync ( it will NOT show up it is a hidden program one installed, because it lets you play cracked apps)
- get installous (after installed reboot your device to get apps back!)
