NBA Elite 11

Release Date: March 31,2011
Developers: EA Canada
Publishers: EA Sports
Platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3
Genre: Sports Simulation
Players: Single, Multiplayer
Rating (ESRB): E (Everyone)

Synopsis

A release of the game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was scheduled for October 5, 2010, but was delayed until March 31, 2011 due to "concerns about gameplay polish".The cancellation for these versions was officially announced on November 2, 2010 and development of the franchise was moved from EA's Black Box studio to its Florida-based Tiburon studio. EA instead released free DLC for NBA Live 10, including free roster updates for the 201011 NBA season and free daily Dynamic DNA updates, for the entire 2010-2011 NBA Season.Previously, a download code for NBA Jam was to be included with copies of Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of NBA Elite 11, but NBA Jam was subsequently released as a standalone game for both systems and the Wii.

Gameplay

The gameplay of this is just GOD AWFUL. I used to love EA's basketball series but this years game was flawed from the start. First it got delayed for almost 5 months, then when they released a demo it was sooo glitchy, it kept many people from buying the game. Honestly the gameplay reminds me of N64 on just how the players move, they are sluggish and honestly move around like they are drunk. Also they do not capture how individual players play (if you like realism like me). The shooting motions are also VERY off they would release it half way in a follow threw and hit every shot (in real life this is mainly a miss everytime and a pro would not be doing it). This was a huge failure for a well known and well respected title.

Graphics

The graphics of this game is actually the only strong point. But again there is a down side to it, the players look kind of unhuman or "cartoonish". But the courts and the fans are my only favorite part of the game. EA Sports actually captured them really well. Another very downside to a graphics glitch is sometimes when a player is holding the ball it tends to go into the players body (like go threw it) so overall the bad out weighs the good for the graphics of this game.

Overall Rating for NBA Elite 11: 4
(my worst rating yet.)
