Synopsis

As the Cybernetic God Baldur, players are thrust into the midst of an ongoing battle that threatens the existence of mankind. An ancient machine presence has forced the God's hand. In the first of a three part trilogy, Baldur is charged with defending mankind from an onslaught of monstrous war machines bent on eradication of human life. Players are treated to a nonstop barrage of action powered by the seamless integration of melee and ranged firearms combat. Battles unfold in awesome scale as players engage in spectacular battles with vast numbers of enemies.

Gameplay:

In Too Human, you control Baldur. Baldur is a god and the son of ODIN. ODIN is a god is Norse mythology but let's not go into that. In the game, your quest is to ensure that humanity survives. When playing the game, I noticed that there were way too many foes to fight. In the beginning there aren't that many because you're just getting started but as you progress it seems a daunting task to do. You run around a corner and you have to battle 25 enemies, you run round the next corner and there are another 25 enemies to fight. This can get tiring and repetitive however you do get a small adrenaline rush when you decapitate a lot of enemies in quick succession. There are various kinds of enemies that you will encounter and you will earn achievements when a certain amount are killed. There are trolls, polarity enemies and regular robot enemies. The campaign isn't that long and it can be done in under a 3 days if you have the time. You can't travel anywhere so it's constant running about which can seem a drag. A nifty feature they added to the game is that you can play missions in co-op. So if you are finding a mission too hard and you have a friend that has the game, why not jump into a game with them and see how you fare then? There are loads of ways to kills your enemies such as air finishes, combos, using your battle cry to wipe out a large amount surrounding you and ruiners. Personally I love using the ruiners and the air finishes because it gives you that time to perform the best finish which looks really sweet when you pull it off and gives you a god like feeling. Not to mention you're already playing as a god. You can also use various weapons to deal with your enemies and these include pistols and lasers. You can also level up in the game up to Level 40 and when you progress throughout the levels your character will become stronger and stronger against enemies. If you have the time, level your character up to Level 40 and you'll be amazed at how damage you can deal. If you're not that person and you want to get the game out of the way then just complete the campaign which shouldn't take you too long. There are no problems with the gameplay and there are no issues in any parts of the game. No glitches make the game great without having to worry about any bugs that may come along which may ruin your progress in the game. Down part to the game is that there are no muliplayer features, however having your friend jump into the game whenever you're having trouble is better than nothing.

Graphics:

The graphics in Too Human are really futuristic and quite amazing. I saw the game cover and thought to myself that this game's graphics isn't going to be that good but I was wrong, so very wrong. When playing in HD it seems as if you're actually fighting all these enemies which gives you the full experience in which a game is supposed to. Every detail is really thorough, from your armor to the enemies physique and the environments that you roam around in. A lot of work has gone into the graphics of the game and that is one of the things that I noticed straight away with the game.

Overall, this game is well made and looks really well. It's on games on demand for a mere 15pounds. Which in my opinion is very cheap for a good game like this. It may not be your cup of tea, but it's definitely worth it when you get bored of the games that you already have.

Game Rating: 6/10 (Campaign is long and tiring, co-op mode is decent and graphics and responses are awesome)
