Skate 2

Release Date: January 21st, 2009
Developers: EA Black Box
Publishers: Electronic Arts
Genre: Sports game
Players: Single player/Multiplayer
Platforms: Ps3, Xbox 360
Rating (ESRB): Teen

Synopsis

Set 5 years after the original skate many things have changed when a earthquake hit San Vanelona. Now known as New San Vanelona alot more has changed with security constantly guarding popular landmarks and capping rails to prevent skaters from destroying their property. Struggling throughout the story to get some decent shots and make it into skate mags you will encounter tough situations.

Story

Not the best story, things are extremely repetitive. Attempting to avoid Security otherwise known as mongo-corp you will have to quickly get that perfect shot for a magazine. Although repetitive there are still some intense missions that will have you wondering how just did that

Gameplay

Some of the controls return in the game such as the flick it where you will use the analog stick majority of the game. A major improvement is the ability to finally get off your board. Your also allowed to move small objects around ranging from rails, dumpsters, and ramps to create a perfect line.

Graphics

A big improvement imo there's far more detail this time around in the character showing down the the last pant wrinkle. The map has minor detail done to it but all in all the graphics are pretty good

Customization

A huge selection of clothes to choose from. No matter what your style is in clothing they have it. Some of these can include skinny jeans, baggy jeans,hoodies,sweatshirts,t-shirts,hats and many more. There is also a huge amount of board customization allowing you to customize everything on your boards

Multiplayer

Many different modes to choose from to skate with your friends. You can take it easy and free roam around the map or you can battle it out in a death race with many more to choose from. The only downside to multiplayer is it takes a while to find a game with not many people on.

Overall Rating 7/10

Overall a good game if you like to just mess around and skate. Story mode i was not impressed with it seemed like most skateboarding games. If you have the money then i suggest you pick it up
