I disagree with this.

Why are you closing posts that inform people, or have certain files or tools that allow them to mod.

Glad to see you are still a big part of my fan club...

I was wondering if you were going to comment in here or not...

I'm not closing posts that inform people, or that have certain files or tools that allow them to mod, wouldn't that be totally opposite of the purpose of a modding community?

Let's see...

There's three in a row that got closed...wonder why?

This isn't for debate, I am open to both sides of this...but...

^^ Is not a valid argument nor suggestion. If you have one, I will be more than happy to hear it, otherwise there is no need to post, as I said this is not for debate.

I don't want to argue.

It's just that I think you close some posts without taking full consideration of what the topic is.

For example.

This was a tool that is easily used to create bind menus.

It had 1 false positive on the virus scan, you immediately closed the post & banned who made the topic.

However, the tool did not contain a virus, but you didn't take the time to check it yourself.

I've seen other posts alike this.
I'm not saying your not doing a wonderful job, stopping the spam, but some other topics have been closed that were useful.

Your closing posts with modding programs for no reason(m0d1f13d's bind tool for example). The purpose of this section was to talk about anything related to modding a game on a jtag. Which means we have the right to post previews, releases, programs, ask questions and open a patch shop if we want. None of those break the rules and I don't see why you would limit everyone. I agree that some threads should be closed due to the stupidity contained within them but what your doing in this section is killing the modding community ever more then what Treyarch and Microsoft have already done. This section was doing just fine without you and I do appreciate you cleaning up this section but it seems like you are abusing your powers more then trying to help others. How is someone supposed to understand GSC when they can't ask questions or start a patch shop?

Now, that is a valid argument.

I run all of them through my own personal anti-virus, which is both McAfee and Trend Micro, if either one gets a hit, I double check it...if they both pop...thread closed.

His software dinged on both of them, which is why I closed it. The maximum I am issuing him is 72 hours, so it's not like he is banished from the community forever...but to the best of my knowledge, it was a virus.

Cow, you obviously are a very strong contributor and a very big value added to this community (Hence the MVC Badge) and I hope to see more and more of your very good contributions...but...at the same time there has to be boundaries and limitations.

I'd love to talk with you more on AIM or in PM, but this thread is not the place for our discussion.

Feel free to contact me: AIM = techgameicytank @ aol.com

I'll be more than willing to listen to suggestions and ideas and see if I can find a way to implement them into this to make it better for all.
