It's when you are exposed to something in a prominent way, a number, for example, and then you start to see that number 'everywhere' because your mind is more attuned to looking for it than other numbers.

For example, you're probably quite interested in reading this so if I put the number combinations 26 on the screen in bold you are likely to start seeing 26 more often than you would recognise other numbers as standing out.

When I say 'everywhere' I obviously don't mean literally everywhere. It will just seem to pop up more in general, but it will fade after a while.

This too is a good assumption. My grandma has always been attuned to the number "333". After she's told me that I've began seeing that number often as well. Today driving from school the car in front of me had a license plate that started with "333". Two weeks ago at a home basketball game, on the scoreboard it showed 3 fouls on player 33, or "3-33". But yes, this could be what you're looking for.

I'm not sure but it's crazy it happens way to often, like in the car on the radio.
