So this happens to me at least once a day.
I'll be reading something about say endangered species of elephants and then a commerical will come on TV at the same time about saving elephants. Another example, I just read something about a Scion FRS on here and then I opened up my IG and the first post I see is a Scion FRS ad. There's been around 15 instances of things like this in the last week or so.
What are moments like this called?

It's called the Baader Meinhof effect or frequency illusion.

It's when you are exposed to something in a prominent way, a number, for example, and then you start to see that number 'everywhere' because your mind is more attuned to looking for it than other numbers.

For example, you're probably quite interested in reading this so if I put the number combinations 26 on the screen in bold you are likely to start seeing 26 more often than you would recognise other numbers as standing out.

When I say 'everywhere' I obviously don't mean literally everywhere. It will just seem to pop up more in general, but it will fade after a while.

I get what you're saying but the other night I was on GTA while my mom was talking on the phone and I thought of a certain word I use maybe once every 6 months and my mom used it in a sentence on the phone seconds later

Well yes, that's one aspect of it but it doesn't necessarily have to be of physical presence of being somewhere to feel it. It overall means a feeling of recollection or as something being "relived". I'm assuming that what you described in your post was making you have a feeling of this type of recollection, yes? If not then I apologize lol But yes, dej vu was my guess

I don't believe in anything supernatural so I would have to go with Crosby on this one.
It could be that these types of things happen to everyone more than they realise, but because you have realised it your mind is now trying to attribute a cause to it which doesn't exist.

Of all the time we spend experiencing the world these coincidences are going to crop up and there is no reason why they couldn't crop up in large numbers over a short period of time.
