Yo so my little bro's PC that i built him currently has an

AMD HD8470D GPU

whats this equivalent to if it was an nvidea for example

like would it be like a GTX 960 or worse?

I mean its not bad bad but its still low for today's standards anyway a 980 would probably do it no need to get a 1080.

nah i said to him i will get a 1080, hes computers not to bad atm he has

16GB RAM DDR4
Intel core i7 6700k 4GHz
2TB HDD


he just had a shocking GPU

Not quite sure how he has an i7-6700k. The HD8470D is not a dGPU. It's the iGPU on an AMD A6-6400K APU. So there's no way it's paired with an i7 lol, and it's not even compatible with DDR4 RAM. In fact, the i7-6700k's iGPU would out-perform the HD8470D. So, with an old, low end A6 APU, a GTX 1080 would be an absolutely ridiculous purchase.

No, in hes Computer atm is a GTX 980 but i want to upgrade, thats why i wanted to know what it was equal to.
