LordOfTheLies wrote Regardless if you don't play IW, COD4R for 80$ is a STEAL. The fact that we all get to relive '07 again on the same game, with the same progression, with updated graphics whether you played back then or not is worth more than what they're asking. Not sure why people complain about this. If you can't afford an 80$ expenditure then you're either

I barely play video games compared to what I used to yet i would pay 120$ if that was the price.

Mmmmmmmmmmm no, im a realistic person. A 7 year old game for 80 bucks is not a "steal". I have bigger prorities in my life than video games and 80 dollars.. Just wow. I cant believe people are defending 80 dollars for a remaster. You can literally play the original now. I can find well moderated servers max players no issue... I can buy like 5 PC games for 80 bucks:

so many people blindly falling into this marketing trap, its comical. Oh well not trying to be a "hater" or anything it just baffles me.

Oh well not my money.

You seem to be forgetting the other game it comes with, you know, the brand new call of duty that's been in development for 3 years.

The poster said that cod 4 alone for 80 dollars would be a steal. My comment is in reply to that statement.

Read it again with that in mind

Oh I wasn't sure, regardless it's 1 game for 60 and mwr is basically 20. It's actually cheaper for you guys to buy it because it's $91 for us in the UK (using exchange rates).
Either way it's cheaper to buy it on PC anyway it's $67 for legacy on PC off amazon.
But yea I do agree that games are far too expensive now, considering you don't really even get the full game, but that rant is for another day.

I'm more than certain CoD 4 remastered will become a standalone game halfway through IW's cycle. Think about it, how many times have Call of Duty (any other game really) released something that was "exclusive only" then turn around and pop up for everyone? We'll use Call of Duty for this example: The Giant zombies, Nuk3Town for MP and Nuke Town Zombies. All came out for everyone, either for free or had to be bought when they were originally a pre-order exclusive only. I get those are DLC over a whole new remake of a game but Activision would be stupid to not release it as a standalone game. IW is already in a shit storm of dislikes when it hasn't even been released yet, I would go as far to say the majority of people at this point who are buying IW, is solely for CoD 4 remastered, yet there's people who are turned away by that as they only want CoD 4 and not IW and don't want to drop $80. Activision and Infinity Ward will more than likely have to release the standalone to try and draw in more customers or just pull another Ghosts era and drop DLC's faster than game patches, hoping people buy those as much as possible.

For me personally, I'm not too bothered with it. I am getting it for CoD 4, I will try out IW, but if I don't like it, I just uninstall it from Steam and it sits blank in my game library. I do see where people's frustration is because IW just doesn't look good to me and I honestly don't want to waste my time on it; however if I'm buying 2 games, might as well give it a try to justify my reason as to playing or not playing it.

I dont think anyone wants to be forced into buying their new game. If I wanted Infinite Warfare, Id buy Infinite Warfare, not be forced into just to reclaim a remastered part of my childhood. What a crappy capitalist ploy.

I'm just going to wait until they release it as a standalone thing. I don't give one singular **** about infinite warfare.

Its money play, it makes sense since a lot of people loved cod4, it could potentially increase sales. It honestly isnt surprising to me.

Yeah I'm just going to wait until they release it by itself. I have the money for it but don't wanna spend it.
