No it isnt, i play as a girl in Fallout 4.. cough cough modded NSFW stuff hehe cough but no it isnt bad at all to play as th opposite sex in a video game.

It's not a secret a mass amount of players in MMO's and such play as Females when they themselves are Male. I would also like to think that companies make the female avatars better looking, too, even outside of the chest and butt area. Better skin, more hairstyles, outfits, etc etc.

I, too, play as a Female in just about every game I play that offers the choice. But I don't go as far as idolizing the character or anything.

Not really. I mean, I choose female in some games. In Destiny, I have two females and one male. In Halo, Saints Row, and GTA, a guy. In CoD Ghosts, every other soldier I had was female. Usually pick females in BO3 due to me loving the Sparrow and Annihilator, though I do love Tempest from time to time. I guess for me, it is a matter of how many characters you can have. If one, I go with male since I am one. If you can have more, I pick female from time to time.

Personally I don't care if people like to play as opposite genders in video games as it doesn't affect me to the slightest. For me, I stick with my gender in games where you get to create your character, but I will play as a female in games where it's a class or that's the protagonist. Overwatch for example, the main characters I play are mixed between male and female because those classes I feel I exceed at. If I'm playing something like Tomb Raider, Metroid, Hyperdimension; where the protagonist is female, I don't mind playing those games as a female at all.

I think the only time a person should really worry about someone playing a game as a different gender, is if they're trying to go around and I guess video game catfish people (is that even a proper definition?) If someone is playing as a different gender because they want to, no harm done. If someone is playing as a different gender to try and manipulate people, then it's an issue. Example, a guy on an MMO game as a female character, acting and pretending to be one IRL, having other players cave in and buy them this and that.

No, it's not weird. Playing games online, if I come across a female character/skin from another player, unless I hear their voice, I almost always assume it's actually a dude. It's just what happens. There are more guys that use a female character than actual female's playing that game.

Not really. I play as a female in Halo 4 and Reach, mainly cus the bodies are a bit smaller though.

I don't find it weird. I mean I play league and obviously champions have different abilities whether they are male or female.
