Or was stopped in general by a cop? I was "pulled over" last night on my bike. I was cycling and a cop stopped me out of "suspsicion" he said he felt like he had a right since I was I guess being suspicious. A week ago an old man was murdered in my town and its not a high crime rate here so I guess it makes sense. Anyway, the encounter was fine he was ok, he actually even gave me a flashlight so I could see better (It was 4 am) and yeah. Ive had a few encounters in the past with police and they have all been fine. The officer said "thanks for cooperating". All this shit about cops is taken so out of context it seems and made to look like the police are always in the wrong. Are there bad cops sure, are there good cops sure. You only hear about the bad ones because thats what the media wants you to see. Maybe im wrong here but simply being cooperative is all you need to get away from cops. Atleast for me its been that way.

Anyway have you had any encounters with police? If so how did it go? Im not here to start a flame war so no f*** cops comments are anything of that nature.

Also if anyone is wondering im a hispanic male.

I had a cousin who came over to pay me back since he just got paid. He was on parole. The cops came by. He told me to let them in. They searched us. After, I noticed some trash on my couch that came from my cousin's pocket. I brought it up. My cousin's face changed. "He stole my f----ing money!" He pulled his wallet out and sure enough. It was empty even though I just saw what he had with my own eyes before the cops showed up. We then got into a little argument with the cops. My cousin couldn't do much else though since he was on parole and didn't want them to target him for speaking up. It's been the only notable cop encounter I have had.

I live in a small town and the cops are in general good people. Once you get into big cities, that's when you start seeing bad cops. Honestly, binge watch the show "cops" and understand what they see on a day to day basis. I'm not sure why there are any good cops to be honest lol.

I live in a smaller town and we know all the cops in the area. They do not do much but give out speeding tickets in my area because no one goes the speed limit. I have gotten two speeding tickets and a ticket for a burnt out headlight but my one speeding ticket I was going 132km/hr in a 80 zone but I didn't know it was 80. I explained to the cop that i thought it was a 100 zone and she was very understanding, I don't know if it was because I would have lost my license or what but she gave me a ticket saying I was only going 30 km/hr over so I could keep my license. Moral of my story is that personally I can't complain.

I've had plenty encounter with the police, it usually never turns out good. Sometimes I've even sneaked away from them to get out of trouble! Eventually you will come into contact with them, just make sure you don't do anything crazy and never admit to anything. The less you say the better, if you're a minor you don't even have to talk to them, just tell them you want them to talk to your parents.
