"But to abandon the series, or say you won't buy the game at this point is just childish."

I think I can buy with MY MONEY the game I want. And if I feel betrayed from the CoD franchise, than it is my right to not buy it. People demanded boots on the ground and do we get space battles really? o.0 if I would like to play space battles, I would play Star Wars or other shit space games. And quite honestly, I don't think CoD is the franchise that's used to be. With all of the animated and flashing camos. "Hey look here I have a moving d*** on my gun am I cool now?" and than those ridiculous 30+ kill streaks, I really enjoyed CoD 4 and 5, they had 2-5-7 kill streak, that wasn't to much and not to less. People didn't need to sit in a corner a whole match, just a fail at the end. People kept playing the objective not many camped that hard, like nowadays and it wasn't so full of in mature 10 year old's, screaming in the mic, how they "banged" my mum. It feels like this franchise should just get a 12+ sign instead of a MA, because it's already developed for the maturity audience, which is 10-14 years old, with all of the flashing shit.

Ventimus wrote So, I will admit that since Ghosts, the Call of Duty games haven't quite been where they once were, BO3 included (with the heavy use of micro-transactions and the childish theme). However, three years ago (when Infinite Warfare was first being conceived as an idea) everyone was bashing every Call of Duty that came out for being "repetitive" and "the same exact game", with that LITERALLY being the extent to the criticism. Nobody gave any ideas or suggestions to what the studios could do to make the game more enjoyable to you, so we left them to come up with solutions on their own, which led all three studios into the future. Now, obviously by now it's too late to change the setting of the game this close to release, however the community's response to Infinite Warfare is absurd. I dislike the setting of the game as much as the next guy, I am literally the biggest Modern Warfare series fan there is, but to completely say that Infinite Warfare is a horrible game with literally no gameplay having been shown is pretty retarded. Nobody liked the idea of BO2 when it was announced, yet it turned out to be a pretty good game (not the best in my opinion, but good nonetheless). So, if you want to hate on the franchise's continued use of the future as a setting, fine. But to abandon the series, or say you won't buy the game at this point is just childish. After we've seen actual gameplay footage, or you've tried the game yourself, THAT'S the point at which someone should decide if the game is for them, especially considering the only aspect of COD most people play anyway (multiplayer) hasn't been showcased yet. But Call of Duty's fanbase is incapable of properly critiquing a game, and it's pretty disheartening. COD's a good series, for the most part, and I'd like to see them thrive and get back on the right track. So, instead of bashing COD and jumping on the "BF is the new COD-killer" when Battlefield has always been a great game anyway, just because you don't like future games anymore, try waiting and actually giving the people who've poured three years of their life into a game trying to entertain you the chance that they deserve.

Just my thoughts. I'm personally going to wait until I see more to decide if I will dislike this game or not. I'll be buying it regardless for COD4 Remastered anyway, so if the game is good, then it's a good bonus. If not, then oh well, it's worth COD4.

They'll end up buying it anyway lol

Call of Duty is a great game and I have a pleasure of playing it every year.

All of my friends say "I just want to have all of the cods."

Personally black ops 2 was my favourite cod for setting and atmosphere. Futuristic boots on the ground call of duty's is what I'd like to see more.

That's literally how I am with the Halo series, even though H5 is the only game in the series that didn't interest me that much (and now maybe halo wars 2)

Yeah I see what you're saying about the fan base, on how people wanted change and then when we got it we all didn't like it. That doesn't mean the game couldn't have taken a step back and they could have looked at the reception of games like AW and so on and altered how the game played out to make it more fitting for the community. It seems like they've been getting a bit sloppy..

simple solution:
I get COD game shared.
I never bought a COD. the last few are complete trash.

However instead, im gonna buy BF1
My cash will go towards that rather than garbage company Activision, who does not give the details of if their damn game is boots on ground or not. They are pathetic.

Thats the problem; people give their opinion "its shit" without ever offering feedback. How do you expect a developer to improve if their only feedback is "your game is shit, change it" because thats how we got stuck with this future bullshit in the first place.
