Get a good GPU, processor, and decent ram.

Also do not download anything from shady websites.

I have anti malwarebytes running in the background.

If there is something that I want but don't really trust, I use a virtual sandbox to test it out

Want to stay away from viruses? Simple don't download stupid and shady shit. I also recommend downloading Malwarebytes. Also if you do download programs make sure to perform virus scans on them by right clicking then selecting your virus scanner.

I have two and always do this. Also make sure to do weekly virus scans.

It is important that you know malwarebytes is an anti malware, I would definitely look into also getting an anti virus as well and not rely on malwarebytes alone.

Useful Programs:

CCleaner
MalwareBytes anti-malware and anti-rootkit
VLC Media Player for video files, better than Windows Media Player

That about covers the truly useful programs, if you wanna deck yourself out with useful stuff, look at one of my tutorials, you can find them by clicking "Submissions" on my profile, look for the Ninite.com tutorial, and it'll give you a list of software and a custom installer for what you select, grab all the runtimes just so you don't gonna get them all individually later, pick your browser, archiving software, video and image viewing software, just... Don't click everything, that wouldn't be smart lol
