I guess yeah but its also dangerous. People are dumb as shit and if TALKING just TALKING on a cell phone is dangerous while driving, can you imagine trying to catch a goddamn pokemon? My roomate literally drives 50 mph down the road playing Pokemon GO, ive told him again and again "dude youre going to crash if you dont stop that shit"

There was actually almost a fight at a local park where I live apparently its a huge hot spot to catch virtual animals around 200 people were there a few nights ago and a fight almost broke out... a **** fight over a video game... they had to have police escort the people off. my god this is just sad.

I mean, I think the games kinda dumb (I don't wanna waste my **** gas to go catch pokemon on my phone) but don't get too worked up about it man. Just a game. Soon there will be something new that everyone will jump on. I do like that its only the original pokemon though. That was my childhood. I'll also admit I got stuck in traffic yesterday and opened it just to see what was around me haha.

I like Pokemon, but I don't really have much interest in the game. I understand the interest though. The ten year old me would have killed for a game like that. People still have that interest in them. If I had the phone for it, I may casually play it. Even if Nintendo goes down, I highly doubt Pokemon will go anywhere other than maybe on another or every console. It is too valuable. I thought Minecraft was just a fad, but here it still is.

The amount of improper English in this post exceeds the amount of proper, that's pretty bad for someone calling others "childish" for playing a game.

Now, let's go ahead and talk about what you just said.

So, what you're saying is, because I'm playing a game on my phone, it's meaningless, and I nor anybody else should be doing it? That's funny, because this is a tech forum, based around technology, mainly video games. Why is it any different then you sitting on your ass all day and killing people on Call of Duty? Those aren't real people, those aren't real guns. You must have no life because you play that game.

Third, "People are making Youtube Video's about it like no one cares." So, nobody cares? Or you don't care? Let's take a look at this; if you go to YouTube and search "Pokemon GO" you will find that every video that comes up has well over 1 million views, some far exceeding 1 million. With the exception of the small channels obviously. So, if "no one cares" then why is it the #1 trend on the App Store?

If you're going to play a game, why not play something you like to play? If someone likes to play Pokemon, then let them play.

I just do it because literally everyone does at work. EVERYONE! Even my bosses, I think it's pretty sad. No one wants to socialize at work just Pokemon. But I don't do shit at my job and early in the morning I'm bored af so I found myself doing it. It's pretty boring imo

I gave the game a try yesterday and thought it was pretty lame. I guess I can somewhat understand why some people may find it fun/addicting but it's personally not my type of game.
