Running Windows 10 right now, just has some unwanted apps to disable, but overall, I like the dark taskbar & the "white" windows button!

Windows 10 has better support so win 10 is the best

also not many people know this but you can disable auto updates on win 10

Best OS so far I think.

I personally still have windows 7 on my gaming computer so I don't risk losing everything during the upgrade.

I run windows 10 as a dual boot on my macbook and find it very smooth and the interface is very user friendly and clean.

I gave in to the free upgrade from windows 7....never will go back. 10 is way better than 8/8.1.

Love how I can stream my xbone also

Personally as a user of all three of the latest Windows releases on different computers. I have to say that Windows 10 is honestly my favorite.

It's fast, it has the right amount of usefulness, it's efficient and it looks plain nice.
If I had to choose a second best it'd be Windows 7 because that was a really good operating system.

I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend Windows 8/8.1 to anyone not because it was bad; but because there are better options. Windows 10 does everything that Windows 8 did and more.

Going back to Windows 7 on my work PC honestly is kind of a let down now, it looks bad compared to Windows 10 and doesn't run as fast at all. For comparison I have Windows 10 and Windows 7 on SSDs on both computers and Windows 10 boots faster and loads heavy applications faster by quite some time in my experience.

Not to mention the support you can get for Windows 10 making it superior to 7 in regards to that aspect. Only issues I've had with Windows 10 are similar to your problem, it tried to auto install on my gaming PC and didn't install correctly meaning I had to wipe my drives and start again. Once I did however I installed it manually using an ISO and it works perfectly.

If you have a brand new laptop chances are it either has Windows 8 or Windows 10 on it; and if it's Windows 8 I'd recommend you upgrade to 10 for a way better experience.
