I agree that this up and coming generation has been very different from most, probably the most different out of all the generations. A lot of what you can see is sad and very horrid. It's the new world I guess.

Shake off the bullies and don't take it personally. They are only doing it to act cool, gain popularity by picking on other kids.

I understand where you are coming from, and while I have not been personally bullied, I have seen it happen to other classmates numerous times and It's just not a good thing to see.

I hear people online say they get bullied in school, but my school is nothing like that. I can't relate to it at all and not saying that cause I never got bullied. Everyone in my school is cool with each other.

Bullying happens everywhere of course, but mostly in school. I've never been bullied before as I don't let it happen but I have noticed that since I have been at college and university, I don't know of anyone who has been bullied near me.

All I can say is stick up for yourself. The reason the bullying keeps happening is because you are not doing anything about it and therefore they keep taking advantage of you. You always get people making threats like they can beat you up but in reality they can't. They just try to act tough. I'd say to inform a teacher that can deal with it or take it into your own hands and smack their candy asses.

I've always been one of the more mature individuals in my class. I started working on my career at 14, working at 16, and have done everything I can to progress my future. I'm 18 years old and I've only drank a handful of times and smoked weed once. I've never been a party type of person, which is what most of my school is. I have no interest in stupid, trivial activities. I'd much rather spend time working toward a brighter future or spending time with my love.

I've always been a pretty socially anxious person at school, but as soon as I step out onto the floor at work, I'll speak with any person that comes in. The fact of the matter is: there will always be bullies and 40-year-old children in life, you just have to learn to ignore them. Most often, the people who are the rudest and meanest are also the most ignorant and unsuccessful. If they are successful, they're probably not happy with themselves. When I started college, I realized that people separated from their clique and we all had to make new friends.

Putting my rambles aside, I promise that it gets better eventually. Stick to your friend group and power through it.

I completely agree with this. My school has had 7 fights in the past 3 days and the one was not a fight but a attack on a girl just for the hell of it. The girl had wanted to go back to choice (alternative school). She had informed the principal about this and then the principal took no action. She could've just sent the girl to alternative school like she had asked. Well since she had not sent her there she had said "I'll do something to get sent back there then" and she did last week she attacked a girl just to go back to choices.

I remember growing up none of that stuff happen and if there was a fight it was for a real reason not just because somebody had said something and now it's just like kids fight now for no reason at all but just for the image. I'm currently in 12th grade and I can say that the school system is going downhill from now on unless teacher and administrators can learn how to handle the kids.
