What exactly happens when you win?
People say to get lawyers and all this stuff.
Do you have to be scared that someone is just gonna kill you or something also? lol

You don't need lawyers. Eh there has been stuff bad that has happened to previous winners of large sums of money. Some people really do regret winning some of the large sums since family etc change and everyone just wants you for money now to buy them stuff. There was this one guy that got slipped drugs in a bar and lost 500,000 he had in his car. (IMO he was dumb for having that much cash in his car)

That is quite a bit to have in your car. Honestly just have a bar at your own house? haha.
My local bank can only hold 250k in an account so that would be different also haha.

In reality you would probably need lawyers, and financial planners. If you win 1.3 billion and take the lump sum, you're looking at around 550 million, depending on local state tax. You are bound to get sued from some relative you never knew existed, or from some random incident that happened ages ago. People are going to take advantage of someone who has this type of money and isn't prepared for it which is almost all Powerball winners.
