Can some one please explain the whole point of rep or is it pointless as gamerscore??

Just shows your reputation. Usually members with a lot of REP are known to be very helpful and are trusted.

Some users see members with higher rep more trusted or helpful. Honestly, it's pointless. It means absolutely nothing. (imo)

Having lots of it means you are a cool dude and blow your wallet into giveaways and provide other cool things.

Sadly, the meaning of reperino is diminishing because scrubby kids be crying for rep on der threads and boosting with their friends.

It's like post count, doesn't do anything for ya, can't trade it for anything, but just like post count it looks cool and people want the highest number possible.
