Basically I'll quickly be showing you how to do unlimited undo's in Photoshop, as many people don't actually know this & it's very useful if you're a graphics designer or just simply looking to create something quickly, within time. It's also a pain when you try and undo about 10 times and it gets stuck on the 9th undo so you have to start all over again.

Step 1 : Open Photoshop and then press CTRL + K, you will then get a settings screen.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Step 2 : Once you've got onto the settings screen, simply change the "History states" from 20 to about 300. If you put it any higher, you may experience lag, but who's going to undo something more than 300 times? even 200 will be okay!

When that's done, you simply press OK and then everything should have saved, if not then restart Photoshop and it will all be good.

I hope this helps, it sure helped me.. Cheers.

Yeah that is what he is saying,
but you can't undo every step by default
because it requires lots of RAM use.

This is why when you increase it to 300
it is storing megabytes if not gigabytes of data in
your temporary memory
which slows down your computer tremendously

Glad someone made a tutorial for this.
I didn't know about this until like a year ago...
Bumped mine up to 200 and it's saved me so many times.

Thank you! So many years having to give up on designs when this is what I really wanted! One more thing, placing images, if you could find out that would be awesome!

ATTENTION: DO NOT DO THIS | This will ruin your photoshop experience... First off you shouldn't need more than the given amount, next this will make your photoshop lag and be useless!

Maybe if you have a shit computer. I have needed more than the default amount countless times, and ever since I bumped it up it's saved me many times. I have no lag.
