I've heard a lot of good things, as well as quite a bit of bad things about Fallout 4, how its drifting away from what Fallout originally was stuff like that, mainly through the Steam reviews.
So, from people who've played it, is it any good? Is it worth it? I haven't watched much gameplay, trying to not ruin it for myself too much.

It's Fallout, it's an incredible game and it feels like they've brought a bunch of the mechanics and systems from Skyrim into it.

It's a lot more diverse and there's a lot more stuff to do.

Personally i'm loving every second of the game and would highly recommend it for everyone.

The only two issues that I have are the graphics and how boring the game can get. For graphics, it's not a big deal but it's 2015 so they should had figured out a way of adding in hd textures. It's buggy but they game cost just as much as COD and COD had WAY better graphics.. again no big deal. Mods for it will be out soon.

For the boring feeling... I played the game for 1 hr and heard the entire soundtrack atleast 10 times. Not good. Also, it's very boring to walk around but Fallout had always had this problem.

Besides that the game is fun and unique. Def one of the best games in 2015.

I agree, after playing GTA V to playing Fallout , i mean fallout is a good game, but its missing minor stuff like being able to climb a wall and not just jump over it. They should have added fighting sequences. I see how the game can get too repetitive as well. If i had been playing fallout from the start, i would have probably love this game but this being my first fallout game, i was expecting it to be a bit better.

The steam reviews are full of people who overloaded themselves on high expectations. I was hyped for this game, but I went into it with a fresh mindset. This game is exceptional to me because it follows the Bethesda formula which I love. I am 32 hours in and still have so much to do, I still have the main story to do which I have barely done to be honest and have many more places to explore. The people doing most of the negative steam reviews have 20 or less hours played which is nothing. They either didn't like it entirely or their expectations weren't met. Some people are also very stubborn and think Witcher 3 is the best game of the year so they downvote any other game that isnt the Witcher.

Its a great game for those who enjoyed FO3 and NV. I have experienced no bugs and play on PC max.

I totally agree with everything you said. I can't believe how many people have so many negative things to say about this game. Sure, the fallout world may not be for everyone, but boring?? Sure, there is a crazy amount of inventory management, but I've found wandering the wastelands to be pretty brutal. The graphics suck?? Really? I'm not trying to age myself or anything because I'm a lady, but I was around for the atari. The graphics are fine. People need to stop whining. Is it game of the year? I really don't think so, but that doesn't mean its not a great game. ~Jynx
