Where you run two or more cards at the same time

If that is the case then a 980 Ti is better (ATM) any idea when this SL feature will take place?

SLI is where two cards run at the same time, it has been about for a while. it only works with two cards, not 1 card.

So if I do get a 980 Ti will I be able to use both my 970 and the 980 at the same time?

technically you could use the 970 as a PhysX card but couldn't run the 980Ti and the 970 at the same time connected to each other
however it would be better to use ONE 980Ti on it's own.

It does sound best to just get a 980 Ti... Would it be best selling my 970 or holding on to it? Also would I need a better PSU?

Sell the 970, still worth a bit tbf
Your PSU will do fine.
