A while back I'm sure a few of you remember the young man who was placed on the sex offender registry after having consensual sex with a girl he met online who had lied about her age. His innocence was so beyond question that not only the girl but her parents sided with him against the court, saying that he did not deserve to be placed on the sex offender registry after their daughter lied to him about her age.

The story hit the news after the judge implied that the sentencing had less to do with the crime than to do with the fact that it was an internet hookup, which the judge morally disagreed with.

Last week the criminal sentence against him was vacated. Today he was removed from the registry.

This is the correct decision, too many girls that are 15 be looking like they're 19. I think it was good that her and her family protested his innocence, alot of parents in that situation would have been happy to see him go down.

I'm in the UK and even I was pissed off about this story, glad it's all been sorted out.

Congrats to him man, lads have such a hard time with crap like this and kudos to the girls family for sticking up for him.

The right thing to do, no doubt about it.
