Txq wrote Opinions on the knife I bought? Anyone please? xD, I linked the amazon post further up.

Why a training knife? Why not a real knife?

Also, you get what you pay for...

Just to let you know, if you do find one that ships to the UK, and they find out what it is in shipping then you will be fined since it's illegal.

I'm 15, I don't really want to buy a sharpened blade though because I wouldn't be able to take it anywhere, which would be boring.

I didn't realize some of them would be better than others, I thought they are all made from same metal and built the same way? What is the difference between a £5 training knife and a £50?

There are many many many different types of metals used in knives. These being from your really common cheap stainless steel knives, to your more expensive and less seen Damascus and carbon steel knives. It also goes into the materials used in the handle, and the rivets that hold it together. I used to buy the cheap 20 dollar Frost cutlary knives, but I only got a months use out of them max. I then spent 300 bucks on a Damascus steel knife which has lasted me 6 years so far, and this thing keeps an edge like you would not believe. The carbon steel knife my dad gave me is my secondary knife after the Damascus.

When you buy something cheap it will not last long. My old frost knives would pretty much disintegrate. The springs would come out so the blade would never lock, or the handle would fall apart, or the rivet that holds the blade in would be loose the the blade could wiggle around and fall out, etc.

The knife that you just bought may be a good training knife for a couple days, but PLEASE don't try the tricks you see on youtube. The last thing I want to see is a post on TTG about how the blade came out while you where doing a trick and sliced your stomach.

EDIT:
Another thing, buy a quality knife, even to train with. This can and should be a real knife. When we where 5 and 6, my dad would put a couple pieces of duct tape on the blade so as we practiced opening and closing the blade on a pocket knife we would not get stuck or sliced.

Yes they're illegal here in the UK but so are drugs and we can still get them easily... Same with knives, FortyTwo linked me to a great site and I got a knife even though I'm under age. You'll be able to get one just hope you dont get caught like any other bad thing we do..
