What useless feedback that is.
It doesn't look bad. I like the clean sharp style you were going for.
However you used too many arrows. It almost strains the eye, and its too much to look at.
Try making only one or two more powerful, relevant arrows.
Also, completely ditch the hexagonal pattern on the back of it.
That ruins the clean, proffesionalism of it.
Thanks for the honest opinion and actual feedback, is that better?

That is better!
My feedback on the changes would be to keep the theme consistent...
The whole design is sharp, clean, and professional.
But the eroded effect on the text contradicts that.
Ok but now it should fit, a straight bold font without any sketchy stuff.

The edited version looks great, Personally I'm not too keen on the Text you've used but I think overall the logo looks really smart and professional, good job
EDIT : I'm blind and didn't see the 2nd edit.. It looks great like that, very good job.

Why do people give ratings but do not tell you what to do to improve? Spam much.
Anyway, I like it a lot but as Illustrated said, the arrows are meh. And as for the updated one, it is good, but it doesn't fit with the rest of it as the rest is very clean. I'm no artist so I can't tell you how to make it better, I can just tell you that it can be better!
Well done so far though!

Well to be fair, all he asked us to do was rate his logo in the title. However, he said "advice and improvements are always welcome", but they're not the subject of this thread. I had no advice or improvements to give him so I didn't give any. I rated his logo like he asked.

But surely that you gave it an 8/10 you must justify your opinion, right? If you have no improvements for him surely you'd give him a 10/10 (not saying it is)?

False, I don't have to explain why I gave it an 8/10. He asked what my honest opinion was on that particular logo and it was an 8/10. End of story. 10/10 would mean it is perfect, which it's not, nothing is perfect. I'm not a graphic designer so I'm not gonna rip his logo apart, and give him advice over something I have no idea about. The only thing I can tell him is that coming from a non-designer's perspective the logo is an 8/10 and that I like it.
