Put wrote You are the best artist I have seen in this site.

Your badge shouldn't have been took away to begin with. How did they decide you were not eligible for it anyway?

Finding funny that people can get that badge from one competition.

Special Badges can be taken away for any reason. He could have gotten a warning for something and they took his badge away. Plenty of reasons as to why.

So if he gets a warning for lets say spamming, does this downgrade his artwork? I don't see the connection.

From what I can tell, some people on this forum hold badges on a pedastle, so if they see someone with a badge doing things against the rules, they think its ok (crazy I know, but its like a role model idea)

I am going to put my honest opinion, I slightly agree. I have seen numerous members with such talent i.e Ink/Zef Chi, and yourself are very good designers who I'd feel obliged to pay for the work you made. For some I may point out that there are indeed many 'better' designers. I feel like it's the contribution towards the site rather than the talent. That's just my opinion. But I disagree with the staff business, they're probably very busy and don't see the point in monitoring something that to be fair doesn't need much monitoring. //rant over

lmao I'm not mad.
There's a difference between being mad at losing, and being annoyed with a flawed system.
I guess you're not even capable of contemplating it.

I had the badge, I dont care if I get it again.
It doesn't make any difference to me with or without it.
And I lost it soly for helping people to become better.
The staff here is like a controlling ex girlfriend, thats why they took it away.

For the contest that just happened, good job to the one winner that deserved it.

But if you don't want to see bitching, don't come to the rant section, eh?

Of course, the system wasn't flawed when you got it though, right?

There will be more contests to prove that you are indeed a "Graphics King".

No need to get upset over a badge. You said yourself that there are many talented members who never see the light of day, but you don't see them ranting about it.

As.. interesting as Illustrated put it, he has some points.
Outside of these comps, there almost really is no recognition for work.
So I can see where he's coming from at that.

I agree with him in say that I don't think that a single competition is the way
to choose a graphics king, because it's pretty much correct.
It's almost a strange thing to do, limiting creativity by putting a category over what is to be done.
I almost didn't feel like entering this competition because of how
(in my own opinion) lame the category was.
I tried to make it interesting in making a full blown advert poster,
but even that was dulled out by having to incorporate a console into the piece.

Though the competition is always interesting to see come by,
I feel like a badge shouldn't always have to be the outcome.
It's almost as if every time there is a badge rewarded, there is always an outbreak.
I've seen this happen the last couple of times, and it really is no different.

I feel like it should almost a silent reward, where you can just look at what
somebody has done over the past couple of months, or even years, and debate
whether or not the dude should get anything or not.
Then again, as Ill said (with an exception of -Tyler), there is very little sight of staff in the section.
There are very little people to even recognize work, in order to give away something.
(Outside of competitions of course)

So I guess if I'm trying to say anything, it's that a competition should be a competition, and just that.
It all gets so serious as soon as a badge is put in the mix.

I'm not been funny But Illustrated has a point, we constantly help the community out, and ask for nothing in return, it's not about just a badge it's about recognition for your work. Yes the badge means nothing but to use it does, it shows that our work has got the recognition it deserves <3

Everyone can have their opinions, but this is a blatant cry out over a prior situation which is being fueled up by the outcome of the competition and this is just turning into a flame war.

I'm just going to put an end to this and close the topic.
