Well, as a Portsmouth fan I can't say I was expecting that as a scoreline. Paul Cook our manager seemed pretty adamant that we weren't going to win it and that we were focusing on the league, he didn't even put out a strong side for us. Most of them were youth starters. Derby's manager said in a pre-match interview that he wanted nothing less than a win, and to be honest pre-match I really couldn't have seen us winning that last night with the starting eleven for Derby as strong as it was. Feeling quite positive about us this season, hopefully we can finally push out of League 2.

Living in Northampton it's quite far for me to get down to games regularly in Portsmouth. But we went to see them play against Dagenham and Redbridge for the opening game of the season. I can easily say that their performance then and last night is the best I've ever seen Pompey play in a few years. Show so much desire and a lot of the new recruits including Bennet and Roberts look very promising.

I know Derby's manager said they didn't really start up at all yesterday but they did not look like a Championship side at all. The amount of people I've seen saying that Pompey were the ones who looked like they were from a higher league. Incredible performance.

Yeah we played awful.

We fielded a decent team as well, fair play to you.
