IDK, to me women are the classic stereo type for "OMG look at these shoes" and "I have a shoe for every outfit". Now these kids are taking on that persona. "Oh I have these Jordans, and these, and these, and OMG I bought these, they are cool". I have my work boots, my 20 dollar Walmart special "nice" shoes for special occasions, and normal hiking shoes.

I see what you mean, but that's what it is. A stereotype... It's like saying only girls like to take showers. A stereotype for girls is that they are always clean and pretty. A stereotype for men is that we are some kind of Sasquatches with hair sticking out every which way who wreak of filth. Obviously this isn't true as I like to take a shower every now and then.
