I currently drive a 2012 v6 Camaro and I'm looking to purchase a new exhaust system. I looked around and saw that a good one to choose would be the Slp Loudmouth Axle back exhaust system. Please leave your opinion below as this is my first car and I don't know much about the best exhaust systems for a v6 Camaro. Thanks

A 2012 Camaro as a first car..... People these days...

What are you trying to do? Enhance performance? Or just get a loud sound? If you got some money to blow I'd get shorty headers, highflow cats, and 2.5" - 3" cat back dual exhaust.

I like my torque and HP coming in at low RPM so that is why I say shorty headers. If you want your power coming in at higher RPM's get long tube headers.

As far as brands, you can't go wrong with Borla. Flowmaster has a great warranty service, but you will definitely be using it if you go Flowmaster.

As far as mufflers, I can't tell you which one would be the best for you beings that I am a truck guy but generally for performance you want a straight through design, but stay away from glass packs. They use fiberglass in them so in a year or so when all the fiber glass is burned and cracked they sound horrible.

For the loudest sound go with a cat back exhaust straight pipe. So it goes Engine, Headers, Straight pipe all the way out the back nothing restricting it. That will also increase gas mileage.

On a v6 Camaro i would go 2.5' pipes back with 4' tips.

If you want a very good sounding exhaust go with just a muffler delete thats what i have on my v6 3.0 liter Fusion.

Heres a video:

again, depends what you want. Do you want a tinny fart can or a deep, throaty sound?

Some [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and straight pipes would make it sound nice. Are you wanting to run a true dual? If not buy this then [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I'd go flowmaster 10 series. I have that on my truck (4.6L engine) and it's still pretty quiet.
