only passed my test 2 weeks ago and insured my car with a black box, it rates 4 things oit of 100 which is speed, braking, acceleration and tome of day. All but braking is 100/100, braking however is 85/100 and the last two days have been 65/100 and then 55/100, what are they looking for? I ise the brake frequently, when speed bumbs, giving way, turning, traffic lights etc, and i do in good tome, what is it they want, less braking?

Just overall drive well, sticking the limit will keep you speed, braking and observations high, time of day is simple really.
My black box is on 100 on braking, observations and motorway. Although my speed is on red and time of day is on amber

I had it for my first year and honestly the values mean nothing. They will only look at it if you have a crash.

I've got one because it made my insurance £500 cheaper for my first year but mine has no restrictions. They just give me bonus miles every month if I'm good

How quickly you break. You should be slowing down slowly. It is dangerous to slow down fast.
