I have an Xbox One and I think it's a downgrade on the 360.

Skype constantly f*cks up, so does party chat. Needing to download disc games before you play them is awful, especially with 2MB download speed. If you have a gaming headset and your controller disconnects briefly sometimes your mic won't work and you have to reset your xbox. Controller too is a downgrade on the 360 controller, not even comparing it to the PS4 controller which looks amazing imo.

The user interface on the system is just unexcusable. It takes longer to invite someone, read messages, ect. on the XB1 than the 360 which gets frustrating. Overall, it's an entertainment console, not just gaming in mind. It's pretty dominant in features, some of which just aren't executed well.

Aka issues that only you have.

Actually it's a lot faster to invite people to parties on the One. Simply double tap the home button, select apps, select party, start a party, then invite. Also it helps to keep these apps open like messages and the party that way you can double tap the home button for quick access. It's a lot more streamlined than the X360 and with the new dash coming out later this year it'll be even faster.

I actually can't stand the PS4 interface. The lack of snapping and quick access to certain apps is frustrating. Not to mention the PS4 menu is sometimes really clunky to navigate through. I mean why does the controller options take 2 menus to go through? Why is it when I wanna power off my system I have to go through 2 menus? It's pretty absurd on why it's like this. Also the lack of pins is pretty annoying as well.

When I want to watch YouTube on the PS4 I have to go to the TV & Video section then select the app. It shouldn't be like this Sony got really lazy with the PS4 UI hell the PS3 UI was actually a lot better.

It's not only me, everyone I talk to on Xbox One has the same problems, their Skype will continuously keep ringing even if they're in a skype call. Everyone I know has issues with party chat, even people with 70+ MB download speed. Everyone has to install disc games, most will have better download speed than me but they still have to wait whilst the game they've just purchased has to install. Every single person with a gaming headset has the same problem sometimes if their controller disconnects, so it's not only issues I have.

It's embarrassing that people will intentionally ignore issues with the gaming console they've bought to make themselves feel better about their purchase, aka fanboys.

At original release, I would agree with most people that the Xbox One was way behind the PlayStation 4.
I won't deny the fact that they have come quite a way improving the Xbox One since its release a while back.

The trouble I have is that, for me personally, I don't see how any of the consoles can match the same functionality and use of a PC.

I used to be a huge Xbox fanboy - Playing infected on Halo 3, those were the days - but having since migrated to the PC platform, it was a huge eye opener on the capabilities we actually have with games.

Many people complain that the main factor putting them off PC is not being able to play with friends or whatever, I don't understand this point though. Not even 3 days ago, I was playing 4-man local FIFA games.
Considering the wide variety of peripherals that a PC has access to use, not just a single type of controller like the consoles, there isn't any reason to use this excuse to not play on PC.

Maybe I'm seeing this from the whole "#PCMR" view but I don't see a valid reason for buying a console against a PC other than the exclusives. That shouldn't be the selling point for your console.
We, as gamers, shouldn't have to stand for that. We should all have access to every game at the quality we deserve.

Who is Microsoft to say whether I should or shouldn't be able to play Halo/Gears of War, etc.
Why should Sony get to decide whether I want to play Uncharted/LittleBigPlanet, etc.
Why can't Nintendo allow me to play Mario on my PC too?

My whole reason for disliking Xbox/PlayStation is because of the monopoly they try to place on gaming as a whole.

At the end of the day, a console is made up of the same electronic parts that you could get in a PC.
If you are happy with that kind of performance, why buy into the console monopoly when you could just as easily buy a PC, have access to a wider variety of games, wider variety of peripherals and all the other benefits that come with PC.

tl;dr PCMR. But Xbox has come quite a way improving their system since release.
