Maybe if you have a local bestbuy or something of the sorts you could go and buy it there if you're looking for the PC version, or Steam if it's available through there.
Sorry but that's just my opinion because I don't really like buying from online sellers, it's nice to go in person and see what you're getting is what you expect.

The only problem with going to a gaming shop or somewhere that sells games is I always come out with more games than I was supposed to get

I bought my gta v for pc off steam (steam sale is on btw ;) ) and on ps4 argos.

I try to limit myself to 10-15 dollars over what I originally wanted to spend, that way I usually just look in the used section at the electronic stores and see if they have any good used games or dvd's for cheap.

G2A is trustworthy, I wouldnt hesitate to buy from there. But it also depends on whether you want the Rockstar warehouse one (Rockstars DRM) or the Steam version (still Rockstars DRM just through steam)

If you were gonna buy gta for steam. Why not just buy it on the steam site. I would do that just because its usually cheaper on steam. Your choice though.
