Well right now, I'm a junior in high school and am looking to join the US Army. I have already talked to a recruiter but I'm not sure what I exactly want to do in the military. So can I get any advice?

Before I start I'm from the UK so it might be different in the US. Anyway I looked on the army website and I found out a lot of information about what you can do and what you can progress onto, I'd suggest looking on the US army website for a while and looking through all the possible jobs they have to offer and which best suits you.

If you're wanting to make an actual career out of it, you're going to want to go to college first so that you go to OCS and go in as an officer.

You can go to college via ROTC and you won't have to pay a thing.
You'll just be required to serve 8 years if you want a 4 year scholarship, 4 years if you want a 3 year scholarship or a 2 year scholarship.

You'll also basically be apart of the Army Reserve until you graduate. You'll train monthly and spend your summers training.

Im a Junior as well and Im joining the Air Force. Have you taken the ASVAB yet? The Military puts you where you are needed. I dont know about the Army but in the Air Force you fill out a "Dream Sheet" of what you want to do and where you want to be stationed. But the ASVAB is obviously critical because it is required but it also qualifies you for the military and they use it to place you for your job.
