700 what? Super low end GPU compared to the CPU, pretty unbalanced.

Yeah, there's absolutely no reason for him to be throwing a huge portion of his budget toward his CPU when he's going to be using his PC for gaming, if anything; he should be allocating a lot more funds toward his GPU if he's going for a gaming build.

Something like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] would be a much more suitable CPU for his budget, if he's still looking for a meaty processor (which is what it seems, unless he really doesn't know much about PCs).

He'll save about $100 going with the i5, leaving more room for the GPU. He can then either go with the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , or (if his budget allows) a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . I would personally recommend the latter, but it all comes down to budget allowances.

Now he can get fancy and mess around with a lower tiered CPU and swap that HX750 out w/ a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (which should suit his needs fine), it'll open up more options for him in not only getting a better GPU, but even adding more RAM or an aftermarket CPU cooler for overclocking.

GTX 750?

He'd be better off with 770-980 with that build!
