i recently change the default location where programs are installed through regedit.
I cant get in regedit now so i think i might need to change it back through the cmd or something

IF you can;
open an elevated command prompt > start > cmd ( right click open as admin ) > type SFC/scannow
if that doesn't work try booting in safe mode and restoring. I know safe mode and a restore have nothing to do with the overall issue, but it's always a fail-safe for me.
If you cant do that then I hope you have the windows repair disk at hand.
