If you didn't use phrases like "quite a mountain to climb" as if implying that Real/Bayern are far superior to us, I wouldn't have doubted your football knowledge. It's ludicrous to imply that we're significantly worse than the pair.. "quite a mountain to climb" is normally the type of phrase commentators would use if we went 3-0 down at Stamford Bridge and had to win at the Allianz, not a simple Chelsea vs Bayern/Real fixture. The chances of me looking silly are rather slim because I'm often very much in favour of somewhat intellectual football debate. This would be a slightly exception because your underlying point is largely flawed.

360MoTioN wrote with this team you have now you haven't proved much

We are the sole reason England still have four champions league spaces. As individuals, we have proven ourselves

Courtois: Top GK in La Liga at 21, got to the champions league final and was minutes away from winning it.
Azpi: Best one-on-one fullback in the premier league.
Terry: CL winner (albeit missed the final but played a huge part), one of the all-time best CBs
Cahill: CL winner
Ivanovic: CL winner
Matic: Instrumental to the success this season
Fabregas: CL winner, WC winner
Hazard: Instrumental to the success this season
Oscar: Goal vs Juve, overall superb performances
Willian: Ultimate Mourinho attacker, very useful against big teams
Costa: CL finalist, world-renown ST

If your argument is that our squad collectively haven't proved themselves, that's because this individual squad make-up has only existed in this form for the last few months. In that time, we've gone unbeaten in all competitions excluding a silly BPL loss, topped our champions league group, etc. We couldn't have proved much more in the short time this team have existed together.

360MoTioN wrote you've spent over a billion pounds to win less premier league titles than we have in the last 10 years.

How else were we meant to stabilise a top spot? All decent young players want to come to the successful teams. It is impossible to break in to the top four consistently without investment. Plus, you've picked the worst time to criticise us on finances considering the absurd wages Rooney/RVP/Falcao are paid, paying 30Mil allegedly for a season long loan with an injury tarnished striker, etc.

What even is the stigma against spending money in football? Assuming you don't violate financial fair play, it's a bloody good strategy and was the only option to breaking in to the top four consistently.

Fair points, but don't say you weren't slightly in anguish when City spent a fortune to reach the top four. Yes I do admit some of our signings have been dreadful but you have to make mistakes along the way to finally reach the team you need.

Also in the form Real Madrid are in I can see them retaining their champions league trophy.

Carry on though because I love football debates.

You're 100% right, I was annoyed at City spending money but that's a petty jealousy thing really, nothing logical at all. We're football fans after all To be honest, I want BPL teams to spend more money purely to avoid falling behind to Bundesliga/BBVA.

Real are fantastic going forward but if you can shut them out and play on the counter, they're vulnerable. I think they're probably favourites this year but they're not perfect and I'd bloody love to see them knocked out.

360MoTioN wrote Dominant team? maybe so for this season although you're a massive 3 points in front of City and you've spent over a billion pounds to win less premier league titles than we have in the last 10 years.

Also

1. United are the 3rd most valuable club compared to Chelsea who are in 6th with a net worth of less than 1/3rd of ours.

2. 3rd highest revenue compared to Chelsea who once again are 6th

3. Worlds most supported sports club

4. 62 major trophies compared to Chelsea's 28

5. 2nd highest average attendance in Europe

6. Won the premier league in 2012-13 you last won it in 2009-10

7. Have won the premier league title 13 times compared to your 3. 20 League titles compared to your 4

By the looks of it I don't see you're dominating English not by a long shot what because you finished 3rd last season and top of the league before the January transfer windows just look at Arsenal last season.

He was talking about the last few years. Nobody is claiming Chelsea to be the most successful or the most supported club of all time... Starting to sound like a Liverpool fan with all this history talk

Wasn't really having this discussion with you, but if there was no History in Football then it would be boring and there would be no rivalry.

Whilst you're all debating on Chelsea and stuff I guess I'll be the one to acknowledge that a premier league great has retired today, and in my opinion probably the best striker the pl has seen. Yes shearer scored more but he was in it for many more years than Henry, and with the amount of goals Henry scored a season if he had stayed in the Bpl until let's say last season, he could have quite easily have scored close to, equal to or more than Shearer. No disrespect to shearer here either, he is my opinion the 2nd best Bpl striker.

Must of updated that , As i didnt see that first time round , Lets go over these points

1. United are the 3rd most valuable club compared to Chelsea who are in 6th with a net worth of less than 1/3rd of ours.

So your richer than us ,Well done.We still have a better squad than you , A Better manager than you whilst still complying with FFP even though we are 1/3rd the net worth as you , Pretty decent i would say.

Also you moan about Chelsea spending "Billions" , What is your reason for bringing that up? (Most of the time , when people bring up this) they say "Money is ruining football" , So why bring up the value of your club? , If your shit your shit no matter how much your value.

2. 3rd highest revenue compared to Chelsea who once again are 6th

Im glad to see there is a huge difference here , UTD fans like to claim they have history , They have trophies etc , "We have been a big club for years before your success" , If that is the case and we are only 3 spots below you for worth and revenue , Isnt that a good thing for CFC? if you were a big club for years and years and (According to fans of other teams) we were only good from 2005 , But we are still 6th in the world ,Isnt that a huge achivement to be ahead of so many clubs that were around before us?

3. Worlds most supported sports club

Its because you were successfull for long periods , I could easily pull the "UTD glory hunters" but im not because all teams (Succusfull) have glory hunters , But i guarantee you if you keep doing medicore (3rd-5th place) and CFC or man city arsenal etc start dominanting england (Like you once did) the amount of utd fans (Over years) will drop and those others will rise , Examples AC milan was once extremely successful , Now i dont hear anything about them and when that happens a team is replaced (Ie , Instead of all the news on man utd , All the news on chelsea or city and overtime youll see a huge drop at united and a huge rise elsewhere).

Its a good thing to have though i will admit but doesent do anything for you football wise.

4. 62 major trophies compared to Chelsea's 28

Again ill bring up the earlier point of "You were only good from 2005) , If we have just under half of your trophies thats pretty good considering the "Rich history of man utd"

5. 2nd highest average attendance in Europe

Does it matter? ,

6. Won the premier league in 2012-13 you last won it in 2009-10

When was the last time chelsea won the CL , When was the last time united won the CL?...

7 Have won the premier league title 13 times compared to your 3. 20 League titles compared to your 4

Again refer to point 4 but aswell as that manchester uniteds dominace is coming to a end , Chelsea are just getting started , We have a team that could go on win a PL trophy nearly every season.

Very hard to disagree with that statement, he was a wonderful player & undoubtedly in the top 3 PL strikers of all time.

Don't talk nonsense Chelsea were founded in 1905 and to be that far behind in all departments behind another club that was found 20 years prior is pretty appalling in my book. Aston villa have won more top division titles than you have for god sake.
You finished 3rd in the league last season is that something to right home about, maybe if you said Man city could come into a dominant spell i would believe you but chelsea no chance.

History, again. We are talking about recent years here. Nobody is claiming Chelsea to be the most dominant of all time.
