Well the past couple of weeks, a group know as "LizardSquad" also known as "LizardPatrol" has been DDoSing XboxLive. Sending off little attacks in preparation for their Christmas attack.

To cut down on all the topics and to inform other users, please keep the discussion of Xbox Live being down in this topic.

Lizard Squad was notorious for launching DDoS attacks earlier this year. In September, the group targeted multiple online games and services including Sony's PlayStation Network, Twitch.tv, League of Legends, Call of Duty, and Destiny. They also DDoS attacked Sony Online Entertainment, even go so far as to report a fake bomb threat on a plane carrying SOE president John Smedley.

With PSN being DDoS a few minutes ago, Lizard Squad takes the credit and they stated PSN will be back up after 30K tweets.

This guy is a bellend, i haven't played xbox all week, but just seeing someone request that xbox should go offline when only about a week ago it was hit offline.

So uh, yeah. Let's continue to boost their ego and grow their e-peens by all congregating to a stickied topic about the "1337 h4x group" Lizard Patrol.

You know how bullies feed off of their victims reaction? It's kinda the same situation here. I don't agree with making this a huge deal -- but I understand why you went about doing it this way. I just hope you realize what you're doing.

So this is why i cant get on xbox live? If so im glad i saw this because i just bought a new one Thursday and i was going to bring it back tomorrow because i thought it was the xbox but then again it might be my xbox?

I'm getting a Playstation 4 for Christmas, so this Xbox Christmas attack won't really effect me. However, I do happen to own an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One. So, I might have to get online that day and see what happens.
