Alright, it's coming up to the time of year for Halloween and I have issues with it, as I will explain. Alright so on this made up holiday it's ok to tell your kids it's alright to roam the dark streets by themselves, to knock on strangers doors and to demand sweets from them, and if not you're going to ruin their day. Which on any other day of the year, you'd have the cops on you.
Sure, the sweets are cheap the day after, but what real reason is there for this so called holiday? What are you opinions

How do we know that people are not putting random items in the stuff that they are giving out that night.

I mean look at this. They are getting clever and clever as the years go on.
You cant even tell there is a razor in that apple.

But really, the only thing I look forward to is the cheap candy on November 1.

Don't want to buy candy for children?
Simple solution = Don't turn on your porch light.

Nobody is forcing you to participate.

If you turn of your lights on the street side of your house and make it look like you are not in people will avoid your house as its a sign that you are not participating in the event.

If people still knock and demand candy off you tell them to leave and if they stay call the police as you dont have a reason to provide anything if you do not wish to - The reason I say this I have seen this happen parents get annoyed and refuse to leave until their child gets candy crazy i know.

This topic is comical. I would have to agree. I only look forward to the 50% off candy the day after.

A man in the same town as us (a coke dealer) accidentally handed out bags of cocaine to kids, the kids thought they were bags of sherbert

The only thing I like about halloween are the nightclubs.. if you get my drift

Halloween is my favorite holiday.. but not for candy i never cared for trick or treating..

i'd egg houses, ding dong ditch, TP houses, sneak in adult parties, go to haunted houses, even highschool Halloween parties were fun as hell..

it depends on if you have friends and parties/places to go if you're going to enjoy it or not

Personally i love scaring the shit out of everyone and i love the creative costumes and pranks and this is the acceptable month for it because of Halloween so don't tread on my fun man!

This is why I don't like it, you egg and TP houses, and for what? It's just meaningless violence at the expense of others.

Yeah! I love scaring people and making them think I'm going to kill them, but then I don't and it's all a big joke!
It's OK to do it during this month because... HALLOWEEN!
Don't tread on my fun OP!

Trick or treating is fine, but if you're a nuisance, expect a bucket of muddy water to be dropped on your head from the window.

Halloween is a time for children and their parents going door to door knocking on neighbors doors for tricks and treats. Generally there are kids ranging from 2 12 dressed up to indulge in this activity, and thats where you draw the line 2 - 12.

As you grow up, you move on from childish tendencies and grow into your role as an adult.

but sometimes, think.

Consider, for a second, the benefits:
1. You get candy.
2. You can hang with your friends
3. You can walk around at night scaring people!

My OP.
