Hey ttg

Not really sure if this is the right forum for this but out of the hundreds of thousands of memebers surely some must be gym fanatics!

I'm currently trying to burn fat on my stomache to slim down and get abs, but i also want to build my arms as theyve always been skinny any i dont like them

Ive heard i shouldnt do core workouts like sit ups etc whilst burning fat cause building muscle under fat makes you look fatter?

Also im not sure if i should be using protein shakes whilst trying to burn fat, although i want to bulk on my arms.

Another problem is my wrists are really weak and cant even lift 8kg dumbells but i know my arm can take it, any help with these guys?

+rep for good answers, thanks

I would suggest a low carb and low sugar WPI. It's good for repairing your damaged muscles and it wont make you gain weight "not fat anyway". For exercise one of the things to do would be
Squats
Deadlifts
Bench press
You can do the other isolation movements after them.
Once your done with weight training try to do at least 20minutes of cardio. Weightlifting speeds up your metabolism and the more muscle you have while being active the more fat you burn. I have lost a good amount of weight this year by following those things along with a healthy diet and being in a caloric deficit.
For more motivation id suggest following some fitness channels on youtube.

Are you saying its best to do cardio after lifting? Cause i usually do a jog on the treadmill as a warm up, so i might switch it around

Problem with squats is i cant keep my feet facing forwards cause I've done my ACL in, so i physically cant bend my knee at that angle

Yes doing weights before cardio is important because you need to focus your energy and strength on the sets. A lite walk and stretching before doing weights is ok as a warmup but don't jog or run because you will be using your previous meals energy on that bit of cardio and you wont be able to lift as heavy. It can depend on the person but most people do it that way.
Also try to train at least 3 times a week, 4-6 is ideal.
