I would go with the iPhone because Samsung are turning into what most people dislike about Apple.

If you want to look at Android via iOS however:

iPhone 6 or Sony Z3/Z2

iPhone 6 plus or Sony Zperia Z Ultra

iPhone 6 or HTC One M8

Also dont forget about the other out there like LG.

Dont just go with the trend, look into what you are buying, not who you are buying.

Go with the Galaxy S5
- Better screen (colors, resolution, etc) After all, Samsung makes the best TV's
- More features with the Android OS. It can do anything you want. Just like a computer.
- More durable and waterproof. Who wouldn't want to take an underwater selfie?
- More powerful hardware
- More technologically advanced then the Iphone
- Can remove the battery if you want
- Can add Micro SD's for more storage

I'll stop here. There are more reasons, just google them.

As I slowly get sucked into the Google eco-system of devices and services I am looking towards the Nexus 6, maybe you should check it out.

I personally prefer the iPhone as I know what is inside them, know the phones better, etc

I'm not going to argue which is better because I know which one is.
