I have saved up 1,200 for a build, and i'm willing to spend an extra 200 on a monitor

I am wanting a good build, mainly for gaming and photo production (so an i5 or above would be required)

I've been told an i5 and i7 are just the same just a different number and pricetag? so would it be worth it?

Monitor im wanting something around 24"?

Build will have to include Keyboard and Mouse, not wanting anything cheap, but not too expensive that you'll have to sacrifice parts.

Thanks, whoever gives me the most reasonable build I will rep!

EDIT: Also need around 8gb ram or more, plus I'm not fussed about a SSD, a 2tb hdd would do fine, plus no windows 8, only windows 7.

lel. Whoever told you an i5 and i7 are the same is a moron. The i7 would be beneficial for editing/rendering and games that utilise hyperthreading(not many at the moment). For a purely gaming build, it's not usually worth getting an i7 over an i5. 22" to 24" is usually a good size for an LED 1080p monitor. Regarding the OS, no need to buy Windows 7, you can get it for free which gives you a little more money for components. What is your currency? I know your budget is 1400 for PC, kb, mouse and monitor but what currency? USD, GBP, NZD, CAD, AUD?

Sorry, I completely forgot about keyboard and mouse. I've made a few changed to add keyboard, mouse and an SSD as well.

Unfortunately, this leaves no money for an OS so you'll have to either get it for free, or if you have any extra money, use that. If you have no extra money and really must use a legitimate copy of Win7, then get rid of the Kraken X61 and replace it with this;

That should give you enough to pay for your OS.
