Plot
The game starts off with a Butterfly Fish named Boris. Boris makes his way through multiple stages by eating smaller fish and avoid bigger fish from eating him. As he progresses through multiple stages, a dark shadowy figure is seen swimming in the background. Boris notices and follows the shadowy creature. After that, a new sea creatures goes through multiple levels of various stages which become more difficult. Just like Boris, the rest of the other sea creatures will see this shadowy creature and decide to follow it. Once one of them come into contact and get a clear look at it, they must shrink the fishes size so one of them can eat it and end the fish that has been mysteriously lurking around the ocean.

Gameplay
Just like the previous installment of the Feeding Frenzy series, players must guide the main fish through a series of levels consuming fish to grow into a larger size fish to consume even bigger fish whilst avoiding getting eating by the larger fish and other top predators of the sea. As players progress farther into the game, players will take control of a new character as well as a new set of levels with other types of fish to consume and avoid. Players will also be able to use power-ups to aid them against predators or fill up the feed meter to increase the player's fish size quicker, and even decrease the size of fish that are larger than the player's fish size. As with each new character after each section of levels, each character holds a unique ability that only they can do compared to other character fish in the game. When players start out a level, they will notice a meter in the upper left corner which shows the player how much they need to eat to grow into the next size and which fish they could consume in that size. Players must be cautious when eating other fish as some will poison them and the controls will be the opposite for a certain amount of time before returning back to normal. Players will earn score when consuming any fish and can increase the multiplier of the points by fulfilling thee letters in the top middle of the screen which light up spelling "Frenzy!". Players can also play Time Attack which players must consume all fish within the amount of time given for the level. Some new additions to the game are that players will get to descend into the Midnight Zone of the ocean which players will use the lure of the Angler fish to see in the pitch dark. And the other addition is that some levels will have the player swim up from underneath the ocean to jump out of the water to catch as many insects as possible and will earn bonus points for performing tricks in the air.

Graphics
The graphics for this game did look a bit more better than the first installment of the series. The details on the fish had their own characteristics like spots, stripes, and various color patterns that made them standout from the other fish. The little bubbles created when the tail of the fish would swing from left to right was a neat feature to see. The fluidity of the game overall was great and experienced little problems with the graphics becoming blurred when the computer would slow down causing disruptions in the game. The different backgrounds for each main character fish brought a sense of variety to the game so that players could see different views of ocean scenery with a variety of sea life and change of color in the water which was pleasant. Overall, the graphics were great but are greatly enhanced when played on either the Xbox 360 or PS3 since high definition can be enabled and run smoother.

Controls
The controls are completely the same as in the first installment, that should for the console systems as well. For players that played the first installment, the controls are nothing new and should easily be learned. The controls are very basic and feature minimal button functions so players will be using just a few buttons through the game.
