Question though: Was it at all a coincidence that the violence stopped once the police got rid of the military style vehicles, weapons, tear gas, and body gear? I also heard police were telling these protesters/rioters things like "bring it" when they had these military grad weapons, gear, and vehicles. You can't have aggressive police and expect there to be peace. Once they got rid of them, they started having normal protests. I'm not saying either side was justified in the violence they participated in, but it seems there was a reason the violence was happening. I am also reading that Congress is considering legislation to demilitarize local police in the wake of the Ferguson situation. Sometimes there is a silver lining in these bad situations.

I personally think these small acts are spreading the African Americans and Whites further apart. As much as African Americans demand for color not to matter, it's always the first to be thrown into the equation when these matters happen. Sure, racism exists, but by no means does this mean when a white man shoots a black man racism is the cause. I mean, when a black man shoots a white man, no one is screaming racism. Even if either the Treyvon Martin or Michael Brown shooting were race related, it is the racists that are winning. Whenever this happens, blacks are always eager to infer that all whites share disdain towards blacks. Additionally, whites conclude that all blacks think they can throw the race card to look innocent on all matters.

This point is so ironic to me, because it's so true. I agree.
I saw a news article about how a 12 year old stabbed a 7 year old. It never said he was any race.

Come to find out that it was a 12 year old black kid who stabbed a 7 year old white child, and people pointed out the race card.

All of the African American's said it's "different". How?!

If anything, they cause racism to be prominent in these situations.

Jealous wrote Not going to read the article that you linked but I completely agree with the whole racial thing..
White man kills black man = Racist
Black man kills white man = Not racist
White man punches black man = Racist
Black man punches white man = Not racist
Pretty much from A LOT of news stories I've read..

The media really enjoys playing the race card as often as they can because it always gets everyone so fired up which is good for the news station.

That's completely irrelevant? Marijuana is a downer, which wouldn't make somebody aggressive nor make them a criminal. Michael Phelps smokes weed, he's an olympic gold medalist. Him having Marijuana in his system has nothing to do with why he was shot. Just saying.
