There is no reason that officers of the law shouldn't have these cameras on. I hope this ends up happening in all states. People with as much power as police always need to stay in check. This may not be perfect considering they could most likely turn it off and blame faulty equipment, but this is a start.

That's a good idea, so that way if something happens and someone is lying, or anything the cops can check the cameras to see what really happened.

Knowing how technology has revolutionized over the years, this seems like something that should have happened years ago. I think it's awesome!

I am glad that this is happening, Youtube seems to be running out of the police brutality videos. It could do with some more ayy?.. yes, that was sarcasm.

This is something that they started doing in California a little while back. Apparently it has cut down on the notices of police brutality or anything that makes cops "seem the worse out there." Anyways, I think it's a good idea to wear them, not only does it help have evidence, should there be police brutality or anything, but also has first person footage of what it's like in a situation, for those interested in joining or to be used as a training video.

If you actually look at the statistics for when police wear these cameras, it's a clear reason why it should be standard issue for all policemen to wear.

Not only does it stop the cop from using any excessive force, it also stops the whining speeding ticket receiver from filing a false complaint and ruining that good cop's resume.
