Through my state and all the people I have met never had I once had to speak spanish. The only reason your chances are increased for being bilingual is because jobs want to see people who did more when they were younger and worked harder on a language. Rather than learning a launguage you can spend more time on other subjects, become stronger in them and be more successful on what you decide to do in life.

Dovashin wrote Bullying happens everywhere. Stand your ground and you will overcome it. I swear we are all people in protective bubbles these days.

Never said I was a victim of it, but during your teens in happens here the most.

Dovashin wrote Teachers are hit or miss. Mine last year were OK but not the best I have ever had. Teachers all went through it too. Don't be blind, as they were once kids and had it even worse than you because there were REAL BULLY's back then and teachers gave no ***** about anything.

Im saying most are in for the paycheck and don't care about students. Teachers like that rarely ever get fired either. There needs to be a better system for selecting teachers and a better system for maintaining/judging how well teachers do.

Dovashin wrote In AP I get over 4 hours of homework a night, plus all my other classes. I also do sports year round so I would be getting home at 6-7 every night. The worlds smallest violin again starts playing. This is getting you ready for the real world bud. In the real world if you don't listen to your boss and work overtime or even on your own time to finish a project. You will get fired.

I play basketball for my school and I don't get home until about 5:30 every night. That in itself is a rediculous time to get home, but I love basketball so I decide to play it. Im ranting about the homework and how most of it is pointless and excess. It simply wastes our time and takes time out off our social life. Too much homework isn't good, as it just puts you under major stress. Yes some homework can prepare you for later in life, but too much just puts way too much stress on you

Stress is when you have bills to pay. Stress is when you need to do things for work. Stress is being an adult. Trust me we have it easy right now. We only have to deal with the dreaded "SCHOOL WORK"

If you can't handle high school, it's only going to get harder from here on out. So suck it up, because university/college will be harder (high school is nothing compared to the work you'll get in there), and the real, working world will be immensely harder. Honestly, in terms of stress, high school is nothing. Having to pay the bills, having to cook, clean, maintain your house, look after children, is all much harder than really easy homework.

"rediculous" "strait"

Clearly there are reasons to go to school. Granted, it starts too early. Even here, in the UK, it starts around 8.50-9am which is still too early but it also means we end up getting out around 4pm which is a waste of an entire day. I'd rather start at 7am and leave at 2pm. If you're too tired to drive, don't do it, take a bus or get a lift instead. That's common sense, it's not the school's fault if you can't figure out you shouldn't be driving. Without any qualifications, you're going to find it hard to get a job. Also, homework is entirely worth it. Granted, the school are given a set amount of hours to teach you, they shouldn't take from your personal time but homework really does help in the majority of cases.

This is sad. People have way worse than you. People fly planes when you're sleep. People have more "homework" than you and you complain because sometimes all you have to do is memorize something for a test?

Wanna know why your homework doesn't seem to help? Because you said you Google answers. That doesn't help you at all.

Don't like it, drop out.

I went to school from 6:45-3:40 and I made it through peacefully so why can't you?

I agree, school sucks, but like everyone else says, if you can't handle high school, how do you expect to deal with everything that hits you hard as an adult? I get it, 7 hours of school then another 2-3 hours of homework blows, but it's all for good reason. They wouldn't make us learn something that they didn't think would prove useful in the future. You only have 4 years of it. Enjoy the freedom while you can.

Well, some people have it easy and others do not. School is supposed to ready you for the real world. Homework is only there so that the teacher knows where he/she is at with you so they can adjust how they explain everything. School is school and it always will be. Next thing you know, you will graduate and be in college and be thinking back on those years and wish that you could go back to them. Everyone takes school a different way and it seems that you don't like it so find better things to do or ask your parents to move to another school.
