Money wins the elections. The advantage is always in the hands of the richer man. Always. This is neither a fair nor logical way for elections to function because there are candidates whom are better qualified and can serve the people better yet, because they have less funds, their campaign is not adequately funded and he/she loses the race. I feel that elections should be more about who can serve the best interests of the people rather than who can raise the most money.
Another big point: those who are running for reelection have a huge advantage, mostly because their already-built fundraising networks which allow them to raise double of what their competitors raise. That is not right.
This is the reason sports leagues have salary caps. It gives every team an opportunity to win fairly.

There is actually a group out there trying to get states to agree on a meeting about creating an amendment to take money out of politics. It is a long process, but it can happen. They have two or three states that agree at the moment. They need like 35. Unless I am missing something, I totally back the plan.

I read that title of the link you showed.
The title said "Money wins congress 91% of the time" of course it does. Money controls EVERYTHING. Why would you or anyone else think that politics aren't influenced by it as well? If anything, politicians are more influenced by money than anyone else.
Money controls everything in this world in this day and age, never forget that.

And that's what frustrates me. I feel that elections should have funding caps so there isn't such a huge advantage. Simply because a candidate is rich doesn't make them a fit politician, and Id even go as far as saying they are more susceptible to corruption (accepting bribes).
