Orca wrote I can't see that happening. There is a lot of people who don't like pc gaming. Myself included. I'm always going to be a console person. And there is always going to be a market for consoles. I can't see another company taking the trade either. People go with what they're used to. Thats one of the reasons Call of Duty is so popular. Their games were great until black ops 1. Then they focused too much on making an income, and less on making a great game. Yet every year the shops sell out, because we're used to buying their items. Same with Fifa. We will all continue to buy xbox's and playstations because we know them, they're already proven.

You've got a good point, although there is still that slight opportunity that pc gaming, or a new console could take the trade if they done it right and had the right money,

Your point with cod is on the spot tho, I do the same shi*t every year with it haha!

Actually never thought off that, Very good point, i'd happily move to pc now if i had the money to build a decent enough gaming computer! Maybe if that happens Microsoft and Sony will concentrate on building pc's :O

Most people don't realise, you can get a good enough gaming PC that should run most games, for the same price as a Next-gen console.

This may be somewhat true, but taking into account peripherals you're looking at a higher price than a next-gen console... I don't think you will see many new companies coming onto the scene. Those companies will just evolve to beat off any sort of competition.

Well yeah, but same could be said for Consoles, Spare controllers, chargers, the games are almost double the price.

It's a package deal, the console comes with a controller. You don't need spares unless you plan on breaking them.

I feel as if I would have to agree with what you said. I could for sure see this happening sometime in the near future.

I hope it does happen, as computer gaming isn't as bad as people make it out to be, alot off people who judge it have never properly tried it

I don't think they would go broke, just have a more shared trade and not as much spotlight

I personally don't like pc gaming. I have a badass pc but I prefer the console. The only games I play on pc are single player games like fallout and that experience is amazing. I see where you are coming from but pc gaming just doesn't have the same feel as consoles
Edit: console gaming just works also. You don't have those bs messages about plugins you already have installed ect...

I think that consoles in the traditional sense have around 10-15 more years before they become obsolete. As mobile devices become increasingly more powerful, they could one day provide most of the market with their gaming needs, with a few people staying on PC.

I see where you are coming from, but the last thing i would expect would be for mobile phones to take over the gaming world, due to smaller screens, less accessories such at dvd players etc, i believe they could provide a wide range of games and be able to run them, i doubt they would take over
