You have the exact same speed as me and same ISP haha. My other house in Spain gets like 400/100 or something but hardly ever go to Spain these days.

comcast offers a 25 mbps package how would that compare to my current speed? sorry for the stupid questions

30 mbps is the national average if that tells you anything.

In terms you can better understand, that would be a HUGE improvement from your current ISP. You would be host quite often as well.

Tip you may not know:
Wireless connections are much slower than wired connection. So, if you have a wire that can reach from your router to your PS it would be much better than a wireless connection that I feel you use.

Host is more based on ping. You could have gigabit ethernet, but I'd your ping is 250 you won't get host.

UK's internet is the best, we have unlimited downloads, highest is 100mbs.

If your problem is affecting you alot you should then use a wired connection 100x better than WIFI because there is no interruption or walls in the way blocking signal.

100 mbps isnt that great anymore. Gigabit startups are coming and many others offer upwards of 250 mbps.

So you need to switch providers. AT&T is completely worthless.
