okay i am not cool with this! what rite did the principle have do do this taking God out and replacing it with alla

The principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, is facing a hailstorm of criticism from some very angry parents and residents.

The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance weekly, on Mondays. Last Monday, a member of their Cultural Arms Club led the student body in an Arabic version of the pledge, replacing the words under God with under Allah.

Please post what you think?

Basically what he said.

It'd be like replacing it with Dios (Spanish). I doubt anyone would get offended than, but since it's Arabic everyone flips out.

I don't see what's wrong with it. They should just take the whole "under god" part out in my opinion.

What difference does it make if you're saying the same thing, except in another language? I believe the principle had a valid argument that the club was just trying increase people's tolerance in a unique/non-harmful way.
I also find it funny that the article that you linked to is outwardly biased on this issue.

They only say the pledge once a week? Every school I've been to, they said it daily.

Before more people get mad I would like to point out that his source is just slander written by a GOP Based "News" site. It's not news, it's information taken from a different news website (CNN, Fox, etc) and then rewritten with their own hate or opinions written in. Please do not take that article provided as the full story, please don't take articles like this to heart as their only purpose is to try and influence your opinion on a subject rather than actually inform you.

On topic: I really don't see the huge problem with this, when I was in highschool and I took a German course we were required to speak the entire class period in German (We could get help from teacher etc) so this also meant saying the Pledge during the hour in full German and more. This wasn't hate speech by us, it was just our way of practicing a different culture and language to try and respect that our language and culture aren't the only ones on Earth.

I have a solution. Go back to the original pledge, no god in the original pledge so no Allah.
