Intro
Hi I've decided to make this thread as there has been a lot of people getting their coins and players stolen from their fifa ultimate team. With TOTS approaching it is going to mean even more people are going to have their accounts comprised and their coins stolen. There is a very easy, simple and quick addition you can make to your origin account security that will make your fifa ultimate team a lot harder for any malicious users to gain access to.

What it is
This extra wall of security is called login verification and instead of just your email, password and security question anyone trying to access your account will also need to have access to your email address (which should hopefully have a different password).

How it works is when you login on a device it asks you for a code which will be sent to your email, you can then use this code to get access to your account, you can set it so it remembers this device i.e. your laptop/computer or phone, and then you will no longer need to input a code when you go to login to your account.

This provides an extra layer of security to your account, so when someone tries to login to your account from any other device they will also need the code which they may not be able to get assuming your email address isn't compromised.

I would strongly urge doing this as it takes a couple of minutes to set up if that and makes your account safer and harder to penetrate.

How to set it up

Go to your origin account page located here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Click on the security tab and then click the turn on button under login verification, follow the very simple steps and you should be good to go. The image below highlights where you need to click to set it up.

That's it, hopefully I've helped a few people out with this who didn't know about it.

Remember though there are many other ways people can gain access to your account and other ways to steal your coins and players. So don't fall for any of the other well known scams like duplication etc.
Remember to keep your antivirus and other security software up to date and avoid entering your details on any sites other than the official EA websites.

Although this is a good way to add additional security to your account. It is quite buggy and easily bypass-able.

It's honestly been fine for me. Not really sure how you could bypass it either. Anyway it's better to have it on than not.

If it's easily "bypass-able" then why don't you do it or prove it can be bypassed. As TSNYC said it is better to have than not have.

Yeah but I doubt anyone would go to them lengths unless they know the account has coins on it.

OT:

This should hopefully stop people moaning about getting hacked, well done!
